When delivering 3rd party Flash files, it is important to take into account the following guidelines:

  1. 3th party advertisements should always be delivered as a .txt file.
  2. the wmode* parameter is to be set to 'opaque' & should be provided as a separate <param> tag** within the <object> tag *** (see example below).
    <PARAM name=”wmode” value=”opaque” />
    *wmode verifies the Flash file visualisation regarding elements which are placed on top of or are masked by the Flash file.
    ** The <param> tag is used to define the parameters of an object.
    *** The <object> tag is used to embed objects
  3. in case a z-index* is sent, it can have a maximum value of 9000.
    *the z-index determines the position of the HTML elements in the various layers of the web page. An element with a higher z-index will be put on top of an element with a lower z-index.
ATTENTION
If the ‘navigateToURL’ function is used in Actionscript 3, the pop-up blocker of Internet Explorer 8 will prevent that a new window will be opened. The user should then authorize that the target page can be opened in a new window.
