Digital Delivering

Since 01/01/2010 the delivery of advertisements for newspapers and magazines/ Steps has been internationaly standardised in accordance with the PDF/X Plus v4 (or Medibel+ version 7) standard (see also www.medibelplus.be).

The entire Roularta Media Group keeps up this standard.Therefore we prefer receiving PDF/X Plus v4 files.


Minimal Software requirements for PDF creation.
- Adobe Acrobat Distiller 7/8/9/X
- Indesign CS2 for direct export
- QuarkXPress for direct export 

Please note that URLs are always entered as a vector (text instead of image) in the lay-out programs (QuarkXPress/InDesign). If not, it may be that they cannot be clicked in our tablet applications.

Minimal Software requirements for PDF check and certification.
- Enfocus Pitstop Professional 9.2
- Enfocus Pitstop Server 9.2

New naming:

Medibel + v7 MAGAZINES = MagazineAds_1v4
(also to be used for Steps)
- new joboptions : MagazinesAds_1v4.joboptions
- new PDF profile: MagazineAds_1v4.ppp
- new direct export settings CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6: MagazineAds_1v4_IND4.joboptions 


Medibel + v7 NEWSPAPERS = NewspaperAds_1v4
- new joboptions : NewspaperAds_1v4.joboptions
- new PDF profile: NewspaperAds_1v4.ppp
- new direct export settings CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6: NewspaperAds_1v4_IND4.joboptions

Attention
these are from InDesign CS2 onward joboptions as well. Because of the central management of the joboptions, you will see them as well in Distiller 7/8/9/X as in all CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6 applications, but it is very important to select the correct joboptions specific for InDesign CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6 and not to use those from Distiller 7/8/9/X in InDesign CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6 !!!
Therefore a clear distinction in the naming of the joboptions is made:
_1v4.joboptions = only to be used in Distiller 7/8/9/X
_1v4_IND4.joboptions = only to be used for InDesign CS2/CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6 direct export.
