THE KRANT VAN WEST-VLAANDEREN: THE PROVINCIAL NEWS

Krant van West-Vlaanderen is indissolubly linked with Roularta Media Group. This newspaper appears together with the local editions Brugsch Handelsblad, De Weekbode, De Zeewacht, Kortrijks Handelsblad and Het Wekelijks Nieuws.

The provincial newspaper
Roularta Media Group was born with De Roeselaarse Weekbode, which is still one of the eleven strong local town newspapers that together make up Krant van West-Vlaanderen.

Krant van West-Vlaanderen
The combination of Krant van West-Vlaanderen with authentic local titles in the different parts of West Flanders remains hard as steel, with 11 separate editions and a total circulation of 77,763 copies, and reaches 409,600 readers.

Not only are the local titles Brugsch Handelsblad, De Weekbode, De Zeewacht, Kortrijks Handelsblad and Het Wekelijks Nieuws respectable, long-established titles in their own right, they are also successfully capturing the attention of a younger generation of readers.

Interest in local affairs is strong in West Flanders, and the different local titles tackle it uniquely with full reporting for every municipality: family news, clubs and associations, cultural and sports events, and amateur and youth sport.

Since March 2008 Krant van West-Vlaanderen has been published in full colour. An up-to-date newspaper with a fresh layout, all photographs in colour, and now also divided into four handy, removable sections: the strong local city title (De Weekbode, De Zeewacht, Het Wekelijks Nieuws, Het Kortrijks/Brugsch Handelsblad), a sports section ‘Sport West’, Krant van West-Vlaanderen and the TV and leisure magazine KW TEEVEE, all grouped under the new KW.be logo. The unlimited full-colour printing possibilities also open new perspectives for advertisers. At the same time Krant van West-Vlaanderen remains the champion for local and West Flemish news.

The whole package can be purchased for 2,50 euros, or approximately twice the price of a daily newspaper.
