ART AND CULTURE
The Roularta Media Group magazines have a soft spot for art and culture, which is why RMG sponsors a number of institutions, organisations and events in the cultural sector. Examples include: SMAK, the Festival of Wallonia, Concertgebouw Brugge, deSingel, the Ghent International Film Festival, the National Theatre, KVS, BOZAR (Palais des Beaux-Arts), the Flemish Opera, the flemish Orchestra, Festival de Liège, Kaaitheater, Sfinks, Audi Jazz Festival, ZAMU-awards , boek.be, Publiekstheater, Theater aan Zee, Het Groot Nederlands Dictee.

SPORT
In sport too, RMG is hard to beat. Every year Sport/Voetbal-Foot Magazine organises the Professional Footballer of the Year referendum. The fact that first class players themselves select the best professional player, goalkeeper and trainer from among their ranks gives this trophy considerable added value. RMG is also the main sponsor of the Belgian Olympic Committee and the Belgian Olympic Team and the media sponsor of the Royal Belgian Football Association, as well as sponsor of major tournaments. Knack sponsors the top Knack Volleyball Team, which was Belgian champion and cup winner in 2000 and European champion in 2002. Trends organises the Volvo Golfer of the Year tournament and also Trends Mountain Bike Classic.

ECONOMICS, SCIENCE, SOCIETY
Every year Knack readers elect Personalities of the Year in a socially important poll. The best known Trends and Trends/Tendances initiative is undoubtedly the Manager of the Year referendum, an event eagerly awaited in business circles, as are the annual Cash! Awards and the Investors Competition. Trends sponsors the Marketing Foundation and the Flemish Management Association.

SELF-ORGANISED EVENTS
RMG-initiated projects include the Knack and Le Vif/L'Express cultural Summer Happenings, the Top of Belgian Gastronomy referendum and the Hobby Cook of the Year (spijs&drank Cookery Club). Every year Knack and Le Vif/L'Express organise a small number of superb readers' holiday journeys. Weekend Knack and Weekend Le Vif/L'Express also invite readers to original reader rendezvous.
