Material
Image processing:
Converting the optimized RGB images in CMYK and giving them the right ICC profile: ISOnewspaper26v4.icc
The ICC profile can be downloaded from our website.
Maximum ink coverage 245%

File naming
In order to report the publishers/printers that the advertisement was created with the new profile, “INP” must be added to the file name. It is of the utmost importance that “INP” is added to the FINAL part of the file name in order to achieve a beautifully printed result. Example of a correct file name: ddmmyy_TIT_custom_INP.pdf

Control strip
There is also a possibility to check whether the created colour proof meets the ISOnewspaper26v4 proof demands by applying an Ugra/Fogra strip and to compare it afterwards to a test file. The test file can be downloaded on our website.

Alternative
It is also possible to supply your advertisement already bearing the ISOcoated_v2_300_eci profile.

Since the use of the correct colour profile is very important for the print quality, Medibel+ asks to include the used profile in the file name of the ad:

  • Filenaam_IC.pdf voor ISOcoated_v2_300_eci
    Alternatief - Newspaper standard
File name Image conversion profile Profile
    Filenaam_IC.pdf ISOcoated_v2_300_eci.icc Download

Be careful when transmitting a colourfast proof!

If you wish to forward ads created with this alternative colour profile (ISOcoated_v2_300_eci), the contract proof still has to be made using the ISOnewspaper26v4 profile. This means that you have to take care of the file conversion from ISOcoated_v2_300_eci to ISOnewspaper26v4 using the appropriate conversion software (GMG Colorserver - Alwan CMYK Optimizer - Callas PDF Color2Convert).
